HAVE YOU EVER MADE A PODCAST?
Hi, everyone! For today's task, we made a podcast and discussed the process of making the podcast. We had 3 different choices for this task. The first one is the one we did which is a Voxpop and it is like an interview on the street. The second one is a BBC podcast which has to be 60 seconds and is about "how to improve the world". And the third one is a sound-rich story. Actually, all of them sound really fun, but we decided to make a Voxpop since it is interactive.
Since this was a pair work, I prepared it with Beyza. ( You can click on her name to go to her blog.)So, in our Voxpop, we asked 10 people this question: What is a book that you think everyone should read? The answers were mostly fictional books, one of which was a philosophical book. I actually read most of the books on the answers given and I think they are great recommendations.
The process of making the Voxpop was actually easier than I thought, it didn't take that much time. I think the hardest part was finding a question that we could get answers from everyone. It was difficult to find 10 willing participants, but it ended up being more enjoyable this way.
I think, I would give a similar task to my students in the future since it is a fun task and it can actually improve their speaking, fluency, and critical thinking. And I think they would want to do it as well.
Thank you for being here and take care!💜
