Making an Infographic For the First Time

 Hi, everyone!

Today we will be talking about making infographics and how the making process went for me. This infographic is one of the tasks I did for my ICT and Material Design class. We were given a bunch of topics about ethical and legal issues in technology use like plagiarism, copyright, etc. and I chose "Netiquette".

And this is my infographic, if you want to read it in a more detailed way you can just click on the infographic to see it. I used Piktochart to make this infographic. It has available templates that everyone can use easily but I did the design on my own without the ready template so it was a little time-consuming. It wasn't very difficult once I got the hang of it. But I think the hardest part was designing the template and making sure it was all coherent with each other and with the content as well, and also making sure everything was symmetrical.

I think in language classrooms making the students make infographics would be a great idea. Since it is a very creative activity, I think the students will enjoy it when they have the freedom to choose their topics. And it will be beneficial and fun for them. Also for the visual learners, this would be even better. To sum up, I think that making infographics is a great way for a writing activity and if it's not a writing activity the teacher can use infographics for the visual learners.
